The Minister for Education and Science, Dr Woods, has said he will be meeting representatives of third-level colleges "at the earliest possible opportunity" to discuss access for disadvantaged students.
He said the meeting would concentrate on "ways of achieving the target of 5 per cent as a matter of urgency".
