Two spectators, one a footballer's wife, were injured when Glentoran soccer followers hurled fireworks into the stand at Belfast's Windsor Park on Saturday afternoon during the derby match between Glentoran and Linfield.

The incident occurred after Linfield had taken a first-half lead. One man suffered a hand injury, but the most serious injury was to Mrs Laura Elliot, whose husband Stuart was playing for Glentoran. She suffered leg burns when a banger landed in her lap. She was treated in hospital for severe burns.
