Ankara - The Turkish government led by Mr Bulent Ecevit survived a no-confidence vote yesterday. Of the 470 deputies in parliament, 236 voted for the censure motion. But an absolute majority in the 550-seat assembly was needed to succeed. The motion was put forward by dissident deputies who are seeking to postpone elections scheduled for April 18th.
