A US federal judge yesterday overturned an attempt by Visa and MasterCard to have a government antitrust case against them dismissed. The Justice Department sued Visa and MasterCard in late 1998, accusing them of hampering competition through their exclusionary relationships with banks. The trial will begin on June 12th in New York.
