A joint venture between Greencore and the French group Malteurop has won a contract to provide management services to Sun Interbrew, the Russian offshoot of the Belgian brewing giant Interbrew. Greencore and Malteurop will not have any equity involvement but will receive fees. The target is to increase production of malt from the current 110,000 tonnes a year to 300,000 tonnes a year.
