A new Internet betting service has been launched which will allow people to place bets online in real time. It is the first Irish website offering interactive services where registered users can place their bets.

Netbetireland.com has been developed by on-course bookmaker, Mr Raymond Farrell, who predicts online turnover of around £1 million (€1.27 million) a week within the first year, and eventually annual revenues of £100 million. Because the site is Irish-based, gamblers will have to pay the standard 5 per cent betting charge.
