Stamp duty legislation will soon be available in a single, up-to-date Act and in a coherent, orderly and more simplified format following publication of the Stamp Duties Consolidation Bill last week.

The Bill, which should be enacted before the end of the year, brings together all the provisions which were previously contained in the Stamp Act 1891, the Stamp Duties Management Act 1891 and subsequent Revenue and Finance Acts.
